Health Professional Degree Completion Program Application Information
APPLICATION MATERIALS AND SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Applications will continue to be accepted until all seats in the program are filled.
If you have completed an associate of science or an applied associate of science in an applicable health profession, you could be eligible to complete a bachelor's degree in the Allied Health Sciences major with the Health Professional Degree completion (AHS-HPD) emphasis.
A GVSU degree requires completion of a minimum of 120 credits. The AHS-HPD allows students to transfer into GVSU up to 80 credits from the professional associate degree and other transfer coursework; the remaining 40 credits must be completed at GVSU. Please refer to the catalog for further details about this bachelor's degree.
Applicants may proceed to complete the AHS-HPD application once admitted to Grand Valley State University.
Admission Criteria:
- Admitted to GVSU
- Associate Health Degree Credentials
- Possession of earned Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science degree from a school accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
- The degree is in a health profession program that requires external accreditation by the professional body regulating that particular profession.
- The health profession program offers national voluntary credentialing or requires state licensing and you, the student either possess or are eligible for earning that credential or license.

- GVSU Admissions Undergraduate Application. Admission to GVSU is required.
- Students must be admitted to Grand Valley State University prior to submitting the AHS-HPD application.
- Health Professional Degree Completion Application (use link above)
- Note: Plan to fully complete and submit this online application in one sitting as it cannot be saved to return later.
- Associate Health Degree credentials (listed above)
- Official and updated copies of ALL non-GVSU transcripts need to be sent directly to the GVSU Admissions Office at:

ACADEMIC ADVISING
The College of Health Professions (CHP) Student Services Office (SSO) in collaboration with CHP faculty and staff provides academic advising, admissions, and other student services to future and current undergraduate and graduate students in support of their academic, professional and personal development on the campus and within the greater community.
