Respiratory Care Track A - Program Application Information
APPLICATION MATERIALS AND SUBMISSION INFORMATION
Application Opens: October 1st
Priority Application Deadline: MARCH 15th
Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis until all seats are filled
- Track A is for students entering GVSU who do not currently have a respiratory care degree.
- Students admitted to Track A will enroll concurrently in MCC's Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited respiratory care program in partnership with GVSU for the next two years.
- Students return to GVSU for the final year to complete the BS RSC courses/degree at GVSU.
Track A: Application Materials & Admission Criteria
- GVSU Admissions Undergraduate Application - Admission to GVSU is required. Students must be admitted to Grand Valley State University prior to submitting the Track A application.

- Plan to fully complete and submit this online application in one sitting as it cannot be saved to return later.
- Official and updated copies of ALL non-GVSU transcripts need to be sent directly to the GVSU Admissions Office (if not previously submitted):

- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Completion of Prerequisite Courses (grade of "C" or higher)
- AHS 100 – Medical Terminology
- BMS 250 & 251 – Anatomy and Physiology I & II
- CHM 109 - Introductory Chemistry
- MTH 110 - Algebra (A general education course may be substituted if advanced math placement is achieved)
- WRT 150 – Strategies in Writing
- Verification of Course Completion Form (link above)
Applicants who are not currently enrolled at GVSU or have not yet taken GVSU classes should meet with a CHP academic advisor as soon as possible to review your transfer course equivalencies and program eligibility. Go to our CHP Student Services Office website or call our office at (616) 331-5900 to set up a prospective student advising appointment.

ACADEMIC ADVISING
The College of Health Professions (CHP) Student Services Office (SSO) in collaboration with CHP faculty and staff provides academic advising, admissions, and other student services to future and current undergraduate and graduate students in support of their academic, professional and personal development on the campus and within the greater community.
