Your responses are used, in part, to determine eligibility for the program. All program prerequisites and remaining general education requirements identified within this form must be completed prior to the start of the program unless noted otherwise.

Radiation Therapy Prerequisite Courses

The following section consist of the Radiation Therapy prerequisite courses. Please indicate how you intend to complete each of the courses to the best of your ability.

The RT prerequisite courses may be in progress at the time of application; however, they must be completed with a "C" or better prior to the fall start of the program.

Any applicant not able to complete the prerequisite courses prior to the fall start of the program should contact the College of Health Professions Student Services (CHPSS) office to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor.

The General Education Program at GVSU

The Radiation Therapy (RT) program requires the completion of the "Foundations", "Cultures", and 1 "SWS" prior to the fall start of the program...there are no exceptions to this requirement! The remaining 2-Issues and 1-SWS courses may be completed during the program.

The General Education (GE) program at GVSU is part of your overall degree requirements and consists of four areas;

Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA):

Students that have attended a Michigan Community College and have met specific course requirements as outlined by their community college may be eligible for the MTA stamp. GVSU will award credit for the General Education Foundations and 1-SWS upon successful complettion of the MTA and the receipt of an official commumity college transcript bearing the MTA credential.
