Sociology Alumnus Wins Teaching Award

Congratulations! Marcus Bell, assistant professor at Onondaga Community College, is a GV alumnus with a degree in Sociology. He just won the 2018 Barbara R. Walters Community College Faculty Award by the Eastern Sociological Society for his "Becoming White Teachers: Symbolic Interactions and Racializing the Raceless Norm in Predominantly Black Schools" presentation, to be awarded at their Conference in Baltimore, MD February 22-25.
