About
Hola - Hello! I am originally from Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, but for the last 23 years, West Michigan has been my home. Like a true Michigander, I use my hand as a map, say pop, enjoy the fall colors, and LOVE going up north. I completed my undergraduate degree at Grand Valley State University in 2016 and am currently working on my Masters in Higher Education at GVSU. My journey in higher education began in 2017 in the admissions office of Grace Christian University. In 2020 I achieved my goal to work for my Alma Mater, Grand Valley State University! I joined the TRIO Teacher Preparation Student Support Services office. One of my favorite roles! But like most professionals, I have dreams and goals, and one of those goals was to become an academic advisor. In May of 2022, I achieved that goal! I am excited to work alongside students to be a guide to their stories!

In my free time, I enjoy playing with my family, watching college football (Laker Football #AnchorUp!), flying my drone, and watching MCU shows/movies (#TeamCap). I also love to re-watch shows like The Office, How I Met Your Mother and GoT.
