Application Process
Before You Apply
Each member institution has different requirements for their COST student teacher participants. Please meet with your institution's COST Coordinator to receive pertinent information about the program and receive the application link, specific instructions, deadlines, and additional information as it relates to your home institution.
Please consider some of these important questions before applying.
How to Apply
If you are interested in applying to the COST program, contact your university's COST Coordinator for further instructions.
Letter of Recommendation Guidelines
Please read and sign the following forms. You will be required to turn in the signed hard copies along with your background check to your COST Coordinator. Your coordinator will not approve your application until they have received these documents:
Background Clearance
All of our placement sites require some level of background clearance in order to work with children in schools. A few program sites have specific requirements about background checks (whether needed for working in schools or for applying for a visa). Read about each country you intend to list in your application for possible placement. Please be sure to have the appropriate (highest) level of background check required for all four (4) of your location preferences.
