K-12 Summit 2015
In August, 2015, the Design Thinking Initiative at GVSU proposed to convene a forum for K – 12 leaders in West Michigan to share Design Thinking experiences. In a moderated dialog format, participants learned about DT initiatives in educational systems in the region: what people are doing, how it’s going, and what more might be needed to extend the thinking. The pilot summit involved 50 participants representing 11 K-12 Systems and Kent and the Ottawa area ISD’s. The agenda included six presentations on how design thinking was being Incorporated with time to reflect on what had been shared. Participants unanimously encouraged GVSU to continue the K-12 DT Summits. Below are video presentations from that initial summit.
