GVSU Quest Series Panel discusses ChatGPT

The Office of the Provost recently launched the GVSU Quest Series, an Academic Affairs forum created to reflect on timely issues. The first event took place on February 22 and the topic was ChatGPT. Laurence José, Director of the Digital Studies Minor, was on this inaugural panel, along with Miloš Topic, Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Digital Officer, Corey Anton, Professor of Communication Studies, Patrick Johnson, Director, Meijer Center for Writing, Jared Moore, Associate Professor of Computing, and Ben Rapin, Associate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Provost Mili was leading the discussion and asked questions about what ChatGPT is as well as questions regarding some of the broader issues, ethical concerns, and opportunities it presents.
