Student Scholarships
GVSU Education Program students annually receive financial aid through scholarships and grants designed specifically for students pursuing careers in Education.
Scholarships are available for the Undergraduate/Initial and the Graduate/Advanced Education programs. Each scholarship is made possible by the generosity of individuals and organizations dedicated to preparing high-quality educators.
Please note that an essay is required for many scholarships. Each essay should describe how the particular scholarship will benefit you and should address the specific eligibility criteria for the scholarship.

Criteria for Applying
- Be accepted for or currently enrolled at GVSU
- Be an undergraduate student (including transfer students)
- Be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) in any course of study
- Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress according to the norms established by the University
- Preference will be given to students who are the first in their family to earn a four-year degree (first generation)
