The Graduate School is no longer requiring an announced public proposal of the Master's thesis. An announced public final defense of the Master's Thesis is still required, but each thesis advisor can decide on the best schedule and means of effective communication between the student and members of the thesis committee.

Regular communication with the committee members may be in the form of individual meetings or formal presentations, and it is recommended that students plan on doing this for every semester they are taking EGR 695/693 credits. For thesis or projects with a significant design component, a formal design review is also recommended.
