Mary Andrade
Mary Andrade is the Director of the Career Development and
Cooperative Education office at the University of Louisville - JB
Speed School of Engineering. Mary oversees the 96-year-old mandatory
co-op program placing students in more than 1,000 rotations each year
in over 300 companies. She has more 20 years of experience in
experiential education, internships, and cooperative education at a
tier one research institution. Her dedication to “to learning by
doing” is evident as she pushes the boundaries of a traditional co-op
program and works to incorporate a broader definition of experiential
education.Her efforts have have led to global and service
opportunities for her students from China to Peru. She is the current
Chair of the Cooperative and Experiential Education Division for the
American Society for Engineering Education and is an active member of
the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
