Abstract
The ATC Lite (Automatic Test Controller) Lite is a portable version of the existing ATC developed by Array of Engineers. The ATC Lite was developed in 2022 by a senior design team. The provided revision of the ATC Lite was functioning but had some identified issues, with circuits such as the SD card and the ADC/DAC IP cores.
The purpose of this project was to investigate, debug, and develop a comprehensive test plan for the electronic hardware and firmware of the ATC Lite. This included completing a discovery phase. During this phase, research, analysis, and planning were conducted to gather requirements, understand objectives, and define the scope of work. The next steps involved assessing and debugging the EE HW for functionality, evaluating firmware, and developing remaining features while integrating hardware and software. Furthermore, the project assessed thermal, power, and vibration limits through an engineering evaluation. One goal is to secure all necessary equipment and resources for testing. Subsequently, the project executed the test plan, including firmware tests on hardware, thermal, vibration/shock testing, and software/host integration testing. A summary of the testing methods and their outcomes along with raw data gathered is provided in this document.
