Financial Aid is necessary for all students planning to attend a Post-Secondary institution.
State of Michigan Grants and Scholarships
- When you fill out your FAFSA you may qualify for the following grants from the State of Michigan
- MI Achievement Scholarship
- MI Tuition Grant
- Tuition Incentive Program (TIP)
- Additional Scholarships available through the state of Michigan include:
- The Police Officer’s and Fire Fighter’s Survivor Tuition Grant
- The Children of Veterans Tuition Grant
- The Fostering Futures Scholarship
- Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver
- The MI Future Educator Fellowship

Adults (age 25 and up*) in Michigan can apply for a scholarship from the following program:
*Expansion for adults 21-25 through November 15, 2024
MiSSG Student Portal
For students to have access to the MiSSG Student Portal they must have a current-year FAFSA on file (typically received 3-5 days after submission) or have a Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) record. First time student users must have their Social Security number when signing up to create a username and password.
