Discussion on the China-Taiwan Conflict

This discussion will address the history and evolution of the conflict between the People's Republic of China and Taiwan. In addition to the historical origins of the conflict, participants will address the prospects of war and what the U.S. is doing to reduce the risk of escalation. After a brief presentation by a panel of GVSU Political Science professors Yi Zhao, Polly Diven, and Mark Richards, we will open to a discussion on the topic. Pizza, veggies, and drinks will be served. INT 100 Approved.
