Laker Con

Laker Con is a three-day comics convention held at the Mary Idema Pew Library at GVSU to celebrate comics literacy and the scholarly merits of sequential storytelling (comics books, graphic novels, animation, etc.) as well as exalting the entertainment arts.

Friday (9/29) from 11 am - 6 pm
Saturday (9/30) from 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday (10/1) from 10 am - 2 pm

Event programming will include:
" Panels and Presentations celebrating and exploring comics
" 40+ Artist Market tables with creations and wonderment for sale
" Activities and programs to make zines and comics for kids and adults
" Comics inspired/themed movies and animation
" Portfolio reviews and the business of comics
" Cosplay contest with prizes

This event is FREE and OPEN to current students, alumni, as well as the public at large.
