Mending at the Archives

Wednesday, January 15, 2025
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Allendale Campus
Faculty, Staff, Students

Mending at the Archives set in a circle with bobbins and a needle. There are x's at the top and bottom and another needle and thread on the right.

Hey Lakers! Have some great wool socks but they're filled with holes? A favorite shirt with a stain? A tear in a sleeve?

The Art Museum and the University Archives are all about protecting and conserving items that are important to us. And we know your clothes are important to you! As part of our efforts to be more sustainable, and in support of the Art Museum exhibition Climate Matters: Our Changing and Resilient Planet , join us for this joint program at the Archives. Bring your items that need some extra care and Christina from My Lovely Muse will teach you how to mend your items by hand and help you with anything tricky. All mending supplies will be provided.

Join the sustainable movement at the first of our mending events this semester.
