Outdoor Adventures Social - First Aid, part 1

Join us at the Ravines Center at 5pm as we discuss and share some knowledge of some common injuries and illnesses you may encounter on the trails and what you might to about them in a remote setting. While OA trip leaders are certified to provide care in a delayed help context and will be sharing basic first aid topics, please keep in mind that this is not a certification course nor are OA staff instructors of wilderness medicine. They're simply interested in sharing some of their knowledge and training in an informal setting.

These OA events are weekly social gatherings planned by and for GVSU students who are into hiking, camping, &/or backpacking. While we do plan to have a topic each week, it's meant to be a more informal exploration, focused on sharing ideas and having fun with other outdoorsy students. This semester, they'll be Mondays at 5p with varying end times.
