During this event, students will gain hands-on experience in the traditional art of piñata making, a vibrant and culturally significant craft in Hispanic culture. They will explore the history and symbolism behind piñatas, learning about their role in celebrations such as birthdays, Christmas, and other festive occasions. Students will have the opportunity to create their own piñatas from start to finish, including crafting the frame, applying layers of papier-mâché, and decorating the piñata with bright colors and intricate designs. Throughout the process, they will gain a deeper appreciation for the cultural importance of this art form and its connection to community and celebration.
