At this event, we take time to honor the accomplishments and strengths of all Latinas. We celebrate our history, cultures, and diversity with pride and recognize women who have impacted their community. Salute to Latinas is a journey through our past, present, and a view of our dreams for the future.

At Salute to Latinas, each chapter also gives away our annual scholarship, The Lydia Cruz and Sandra Maria Ramos Scholarship.

The Lydia Cruz and Sandra Maria Ramos Scholarship was established in March of 1995 by the founding members of the Delta Tau Lambda Sorority, Incorporated. Each year during the fall semester, Delta Tau Lambda hosts our annual Salute To Latinas event where we award the scholarship to a first-year college student or a high school graduating senior planning to enroll in college in order to assist the pursuit of their goals using education as their tool. The recipient must identify as a woman of color and be able to demonstrate leadership, community involvement, and passion.
