GVSU Inclusion & Equity Institute Color Burst

This presentation focuses on supporting college students' basic needs while incorporating principles of equity. It aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to address essential student needs such as food security, housing stability, financial support, health and wellness, and academic assistance.

Learning Outcomes - Participants will be able to:

  • Identify Key Basic Needs: Understand the core needs affecting student success and the disparities that may exist.
  • Implement Support Strategies: Develop and apply effective strategies to support these needs, ensuring resources are accessible and beneficial.
  • Promote Equity: Integrate equity into support systems to address diverse needs, ensuring all students receive fair and adequate support.
