The tension between those people trying to share accurate information
and those individuals, organizations and governments trying to
misinform the public has had a major impact on the available
information for civil discourse. Join us for the second in a two-part
symposium to look at how this issue is playing out around the
world. This event will feature the launch of a first-of-its-kind
Global Civil Discourse Map built by GVSU Civil Discourse and Computer
Science students and presentations by GVSU faculty member Vandana
Pednekar-Magal and acclaimed Chilean journalist Alejandra Matus.
