Women in Leadership: Discussion Panel with Q&A

Tuesday, November 12, 2024
4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus
Alumni, Community, Faculty, Staff, Students

Women make up nearly 80% of PK-12 educators but only 24% of superintendent positions. While we are seeing an increase in female students in leadership programs, there are unique obstacles in this journey. Join us to hear lessons learned, and identify themes and strategies of accomplishment. Our panelists will shed light on these dynamics and share how they’ve navigated them. You’ll notice that our panelists hold leadership positions in PK-12 as well as higher education.

Please note: while the focus is on women in leadership, we strongly encourage current and aspiring male leaders as well. Being aware of these dynamics will better position all of us to enhance our leadership teams which are hopefully becoming increasingly diverse.

Panelists: Keri Becker, Amy Ebling, Jamillya Hardley, Kate Harmon, Jessie Houghton, Deonna Washington
