Join Professor Farid Hassanzadah and special guest Ms. Homeira Qaderi, author, and research assistant at the MacMillan Center at Yale University, as they discuss the status of women's human rights and resistance in Afghanistan. Qaderi will share her experiences and the way Afghan women and girls are resisting the Taliban’s suppressive rules and Hassanzadah will talk about the structural changes and the reversal of human rights achievements in Afghanistan after the collapse of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the democratic state backed by the international community for two decades in Afghanistan. Morning snacks and refreshments will be served.
