Winter 2025 Recruitment

What is Winter Recruitment?

Winter recruitment at GVSU offers a more informal experience than the structured formal recruitment process in the Fall. Not all fraternities and sororities participate in winter recruitment, so the best way to stay informed about opportunities is to follow our chapters on social media for event announcements and updates. Culturally Based Fraternal Organizations within our Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) will continue to host their intake processes throughout the year. If you’re interested in joining one of these organizations and need guidance on expressing interest, we encourage you to contact the Office of Student Life for support.

Our Interfraternity Council chapters will host events from January 15-24, with bid day on Saturday, January 25.

Grade Release

To begin your journey, we need your permission to verify your academic eligibility. All students interested in joining a fraternity or sorority must complete the Grade Release Form. This form allows us to confirm your GPA meets the standards required for membership, ensuring your academic success remains a priority while you enjoy all the benefits of Greek Life.
