ArtPrize at Grand Valley began with music and dance
Grand Valley kicked off the fourth annual ArtPrize competition
Wednesday, September 19, with events beginning at Rosa Parks Circle in
Grand Rapids.
The Laker Marching Band, under the direction of President Thomas
J. Haas for one song, performed at Rosa Parks Circle, followed by
members of Grand Valley’s Dance Ensemble in a flash dance. Additional
performances on Campau Street included a band boogie and the color
guard, and after crossing the Blue Pedestrian Bridge, one more
performance at Eberhard Center, welcoming all to Grand Valley’s
ArtPrize venue.
