Registration open for Helping Hands

Students, faculty, staff members and alumni can sign up to help new students move into the living centers from August 23-26.

Volunteers can sign up for three-hour shifts from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Duties include carrying supplies from cars to students’ rooms, assisting new students with check-in and welcoming students and their families to campus.

Helping Hands has been a campus tradition for nearly 20 years. Each year, students, faculty and staff members donate about 2,500 hours of volunteering to help make the move-in process smooth.

Students, faculty and staff members can sign up at www.gvsu.edu/housing/helpinghands
