Wanted: Helping hands to carry boxes, unload cars and welcome students and families to campus during this year's Move-In Week.
Registration is now open for students, faculty and staff members, and alumni to help new and returning students move into the living centers from August 20-22.
Volunteers can sign up for three-hour shifts from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Additional duties include directing foot traffic, distributing welcome kits and being a resource for students and their families.
Sign up at www.gvsu.edu/housing/hh-volunteer.htm. A T-shirt will be provided for volunteers.
Helping Hands has been a campus tradition for more than 20 years. Each year, hundreds of students, faculty and staff members donate more than 2,000 hours of volunteer work to help make the move-in process smooth.
