Alumni brothers plant 'U-pick' sunflower field to raise spirits during pandemic

Brothers Ross and Jordan Bremer, alumni of the Seidman College of Business, were looking for a way to bring joy to their community during the COVID-19 pandemic. They leveraged their years of farming experience to plant a 'U-pick' sunflower field near the Allendale Campus.

Sustainable Agriculture Project to host farm stand on Allendale Campus through summer

Grand Valley's farm stand began on June 2 in front of Lake Michigan Hall on the Allendale Campus. The stand was open from 9 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and will continue at the same time on Wednesdays into October.

The most recent proposal to the Innovation Fund will seek to expand University Librariesý publishing capacity for open educational resources, or OER. The Innovation Fund, one of President Philomena V. Mantella's initiatives to propel Grand Valley forward, will invest specifically in proposals that cover one of the five presidential priorities outlined by Mantella.
