2020 Election Panel: Progressive/Conservative Summit
In a society of 24-hour news cycles and political pundits, weaving through information becomes an increasingly complex task, especially in the wake of COVID-19 and the advent of our digital lives. Our current presidential election cycle has been, in some ways, subverted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As we continue to adjust to our hybrid lives of online and in-person, we become easily siloed in an echo chamber of our own beliefs. What are we to make of our continued political polarization in the digital age? The Hauenstein Center was pleased to collaborate with Grand Valley’s Department of Political Science to present a panel discussion on the 2020 presidential election. The panel was chaired by Darren Walhof, and commenters will include Polly Diven, Michelle Miller-Adams, Pat Miles, and Matt McLogan.
