Reminders for currently enrolled CLA Fellow Candidates:

  • If you are registering for a non-Wheelhouse Talk event as part of your mandatory CGI/HC event a semester, make sure to complete the Leadership in Action form found in the CLA Portal following the event to receive credit.
  • Fellow candidates must attend Wheelhouse Talks in person to count towards good standing in the CLA. Fellow candidates may not attend a Wheelhouse Talk virtually without the approval of the CLA Program Manager.
  • Fellow candidates have access to all private and public receptions at HC events. If you RSVP to attend a reception please make every effort to attend. If you signed up to attend but later become unavailable, notify the HC staff.

Cook Leadership Academy

CLA

Since 2004, the Peter C. Cook Leader Academy has instilled leadership excellence in a select group of undergraduate and graduate students across the institution. The program is co-curricular and cross-disciplinary, offering our student fellow candidates unique opportunities for reflection, engagement, and learning with and from a diverse cohort of their peers throughout the academic year. Candidates are admitted to the Cook Leadership Academy for one or more years. Each applicant must meet the criteria of high academic achievement, active involvement in the campus community, dedication to the public good, a passion to lead, and a commitment to personal growth.
