Nicole Hemmer
Nicole Hemmer is associate professor of history and director of the Carolyn T. and Robert M. Rogers Center for the American Presidency at Vanderbilt University. A historian specializing in media, conservatism, and the presidency, she is the author of two books: Messengers of the Right: Conservative Media and the Transformation of American Politics and Partisans: The Conservative Revolutionaries Who Remade American Politics in the 1990s. She is co-host of the podcast This Day in Esoteric Political History from Radiotopia.
A prolific writer and speaker, Hemmer regularly writes for leading national and international outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Vox, and CNN.
