Wheelhouse Talk & Frederik Meijer Lecture Series: Faye Richardson-Green

We were excited to welcome Faye Richardson-Green to kick off our Wheelhouse Talk series for the year! She is the fourth Meijer Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship and Innovation for the GVSU Frederik Meijer Honors College and has over 40 years of broad-based leadership experience. With an emphasis on global learning and intercultural communication, Richardson-Green brings a global perspective to community leadership. From her beginnings in banking branch management, to serving as Director of Global Learning and Development for Steelcase, and ultimately starting her own consulting firm, her journey challenges and inspires.
This event was a partnership with GVSU’s Frederik Meijer Honors College as a part of their Frederik Meijer Lecture Series, which was established to provide local and national presentations that focus on issues of leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship from the perspective of students, faculty members, and participants in business throughout the region.

Faye Richardson-Green is Director, Global Learning and Development for Steelcase Inc., (NYSE: SCS), a global work effectiveness company headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Steelcase Inc. creates great experiences - wherever work happens by providing products, services and insights into the ways people work. Richardson-Green has more than 25 years of leadership experience within the company providing her with unique opportunities to influence Steelcase’s work culture and processes. She has been with the learning and development group, also known as Steelcase University, since April 2003. ASTD member, former chair of the Forum Advisory Group and experienced facilitator, Richardson-Green’s Steelcase responsibilities are operational in scope and include supplier contract negotiation, learning facility management and oversight of solution design, development, implementation, and evaluation processes. Faye is also a development team member and facilitator of Steelcase’s design thinking curriculum.
