In this innovative series of leadership seminars, three Cook Leadership Academy fellows explored the connections between leadership and community. These presentations gave the fellows an opportunity to gain valuable public speaking experience while also giving other fellows an understanding of how their peers are applying leadership skills in their own lives.

The theme for the winter semester’s Leader Lens is the search for common ground. Cook Leadership Academy fellows Lizzy Heyboer, Joe Hogan, and Nathan Mehmed shared their stories about finding common ground in their personal, academic, and community involvement journeys.
