Peter C. Cook Leadership Academy Alumni Panel
September 30, 2022
A key component of the Peter C. Cook Leadership Academy is the opportunity for students to connect with a community mentor through one-on-one mentorship. The benefits of traditional mentorship are well-known: gaining knowledge from someone who has already been where we hope to go, having a sounding board for potential career moves, and building a professional network. However, mentorship has the potential to offer so much more, from intentional sponsorship to mutual growth opportunities for both mentor and mentee.
Our fourth annual Peter C. Cook Leadership Academy (CLA) Alumni Panel brought together a collective of CLA alumni to speak about their experiences and the impact that mentorship had on their journeys. This year, we were pleased to welcome five esteemed alumni to our stage: Richa Bhurtel ‘17, Amanda Hoffman ‘19, Yah-Hanna Jenkins Leys ‘15, Elizabeth MacDonald ‘19, and Tyler Smith ‘18.
