Searching for Deeper Common Ground
In our needful time, a humanistic study can help Americans cross the deep political chasms that separate us. By encouraging us to heed the wisdom of voices from distant epochs and faraway places, by urging us to grapple responsibly with today’s challenges, and by calling us to see the world through the eyes of others, the humanities expand our understanding beyond the limits of our personal circumstances. This special gathering included Hauenstein Center Director Gleaves Whitney, alongside Bradley Birzer and Elisabeth Lasch-Quinn.
At the end of the program, we heard from our community members for our special “Town Hall” session.
