Dr. Tammy Born owns and operates Born Preventive Health Care Clinic, which she joined in 1987 with her husband and clinic founder, the late Grant Born, D.O. She received her undergraduate degree from Calvin College and graduated in 1986 from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 1994, Governor John Engler appointed her to the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, where she served as President from 1999 to 2001. Dr. Born also accepted appointments from President George W. Bush and Tommy Thompson, former Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
