Job Summary
Oversee and maintain customer service front desk operations for Parking Services on the Allendale campus. Provide technical and financial clerical support for Parking Services.
Essential Functions:
- Hire, train and supervise Parking Services front desk student staff, assigning work and work flow.
- Respond to customer requests, questions and complaints based on approved department protocols pertaining to university parking needs.
- Resolve parking related problems requiring substantial knowledge and interpretation of university, Public Safety and parking regulations, policies and procedures.
- Provide financial support through daily/weekly/monthly processing of pay station and park- mobile payments, and drop box, customer service counter, USPS, and phone payments.
- Create various financial reports; reconcile and deposit monies into multiple university accounts using OnBase System.
- Coordinate and maintain PCI Compliance regarding credit card machine and storage of financial reports.
- Oversee Parking Services cash drawers; assist with daily cash outs
- Coordinate the parking violation appeal process, including the processing of online and written appeals; review, make recommendations, and implement changes for appeal process.
- Coordinate and work with Grand Rapids Parking Services Coordinator and Parking Operations Coordinator on ticket writing policies; review, make recommendations and implement changes for ticket writing policies.
- Coordinate with Grand Rapids Campuses Parking Services to ensure consistency in parking customer service provided at each location.
- Prepare and process a high volume of correspondence related to past-due parking citations which includes working closely with the university’s collection department and Student Accounts.
- Create and disseminate various parking reports: parking fine reports, LEIN reports and any other reports as directed by supervisor. Process as directed.
- Issue and invoice department requested permits (i.e. university tenants, ELS students, DSR, etc.).
- Process HR requests for faculty/staff permits; resolve student status issues.
- Conduct various audits in parking software system; notify supervisor with concerns.
- Provide support and assist with permit rush, start up and move-in.
- Provide support and assist with maintenance of Parking Services website and Content Management System.
- Provide support as requested and/or directed by supervisor or their designee.
- All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with various computer software applications such as Microsoft Office and/or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully operate office equipment.
- Data entry experience.
- Typing and spelling competency with grammar and proofreading skills.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully provide quality customer service
- Demonstrated experience to successfully work independently, organize own work and coordinate work activities of others.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully maintain satisfactory work performance and attendance records.
- Ability to successfully maintain positive intercultural and interpersonal relationships.
