Job Summary

Manages university parking ticket and permit software system.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and update on-line parking services which include parking permit sales and distribution, ticket reconciliation and payments, ticket appeals.
  • Responsible for upgrade, implementation and maintenance of parking ticket and permit system, working with other university departments and outside vendors.
  • Develop queries to prepare standard and requested reports by logically formatting data requiring tabulation, compilation and manipulation of such data.
  • Respond to questions and complaints; resolve problems requiring substantial knowledge and interpretation of university, Public Safety and parking regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and process a high volume of correspondence related to past-due parking citations which includes working closely with the university’s collection department and student accounts.
  • Create and perform daily permit charge feeds to Banner; identify and correct inaccuracies.
  • Create, update and maintain files and record keeping systems pertaining to parking.
  • Reconcile and deposit monies into multiple university accounts.
  • Set up and install handheld ticket writers and train employees on their use.
  • Facilitate annual parking survey, enter raw data into spreadsheets and assemble data into graphs.
  • Create and implement training on procedures and material for COT staff and students.
  • Conducts special projects and assignments as directed.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Maintain department website.
  • Order office supplies, process travel vouchers and various university forms.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully work under pressure and meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully maintain positive intercultural and interpersonal relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully operate office equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully provide quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully maintain satisfactory work performance and attendance records.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Typing and spelling competency.
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully to use various computer software applications.
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully work independently, organize own work and coordinate work activities of others.
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully perform mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy.
  • Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Some college course work.

Supervision Received:

Receive general instruction from designated supervisor but is generally expected to work independently.

Supervision Exercised:

Hire, train, supervise, schedule and coordinate the work of student employees and may act as lead worker to other PSS staff members within the department/unit/division.
