Welcome to Grand Valley State University and to the Laker Familia!
Laker Familia Orientation is a three-day program specifically designed to introduce new Latiné and/or Hispanic students to the Grand Valley State University campus and to connect you to resources and services that will support your academic, cultural, and emotional well-being.
What you will get out of it:
-Connections with other incoming students and current upperclassman
-Connections with GVSU Latiné faculty/staff
-Connections with GVSU students of color
-Tour of campus and classrooms
-Meet and greet with multicultural student organizations
-Learn about campus resources and services
-Early move in on campus, meals during orientation and a Laker Familia shirt
