Cat O'Callaghan joined the GVSU MTD Department as a Dance Costume Designer in 2010. She studied millinery and dress making at London College of Fashion and pattern drafting at Grafton Academy of Fashion in Dublin, Ireland. After living and working in Dublin theatre and film for a decade, Catherine returned to the United States. She continued working in wardrobe and costume at Miller Auditorium, DeVos Concert Hall, Wharton Center for Performing Arts, and Grand Rapids Ballet. Cat is dedicated to community outreach and teaches costuming to Boys and Girls Club of America. Cat has also worked with Cindy Lauper, Tom Wombat, Beauty & the Beast, Garfield, Disney On Ice, Edinburgh Film Festival, Samuel Beckett Trinity College Dublin, IRMA Awards shows, Theatre and Fashion shows in Camden Market London, Ireland, The Lion King, Mama Mia, Riverdance, the Martha Graham Dance Company, Grand Rapids Ballet, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College.
