Music

1. Complete an Application for Admission to Grand Valley State University
2. Complete the Application for Music Program Admission and Scholarships 
3. Show up for your Audition Date (as selected on the Application for Music Program Admission and Scholarships)

Theatre

1. Complete an Application for Admission to Grand Valley State University
2. Audition at Michigan Thespians Festival or Theatre Day for Scholarships

Dance

1. Complete an Application for Admission to Grand Valley State University
2. Complete the Application for Dance Program Admission and Scholarships 
3. Show up for your Audition Date (as selected on the Application for Dance Program Admission and Scholarships)

Our Music, Theatre, and Dance programs are flexible and student-centered, and as a result we have a vibrant community of transfer students in our department. See the steps below for how to transfer into our programs. 

Music

1. Complete an Application for Admission to Grand Valley State University
2. Complete the Application for Music Program Admission and Scholarships 
3. Fill out Transfer Student Release Forms
4. Show up for your Audition Date (as selected on the Application for Music Program Admission and Scholarships)
5. Meet with an advisor to figure out what credits can transfer to GVSU from your current institution. 

Theatre

1. Complete an Application for Admission to Grand Valley State University
2. Contact Dr. James Bell about setting up a meeting to discuss which credits will transfer from your current institution.

Dance

1. Complete an Application for Admission to Grand Valley State University
2. Complete the Application for Dance Program Admission and Scholarships 
3. Show up for your Audition Date (as selected on the Application for Dance Program Admission and Scholarships)
4. Meet with an advisor to figure out what credits can transfer to GVSU from your current institution. 

Many students decide part-way through their time at GVSU to add a Major or Minor in Music, Theatre, or Dance. See below for the steps you should take if you are a current GVSU student who wishes to add a Major or Minor in our department.
