myGVSU Climate Survey 2015

Your voice is important to our community

From November 12-23, 2015, faculty, staff, and students were invited to participate in the university’s fifth climate survey – myGVSU Climate Survey 2015 – in which respondents were asked to confidentially indicate what it is like to learn, live, and work on campus. The experiences and perceptions of all of our students, faculty, or staff members matter to us at GVSU.

This climate survey helps to support our values of inclusiveness and community, and commitment to creating a welcoming environment where all members of our community can safely and proudly be their authentic selves. This effort supports the university’s Strategic Plan 2016-2021 outcome to be “diverse and inclusive.” The survey results are used to assist all areas of Grand Valley in focusing their efforts to make the university more welcoming and inclusive. The data collected allows us to better understand experiences so we can continually create a better GVSU. With this knowledge, we can continue to reinforce what is working and address what is not.

Join us in creating a Grand Valley that is welcoming and inclusive for everyone. All reports and presentations related to the myGVSU Climate Survey 2015 are included below. The Division of Inclusion and Equity is available upon request to assist departments and committees in developing strategic actions that respond to the results of the survey. Additionally, departments and committees should share updates on actions/initiatives informed by the data to be posted to gvsu.edu/mygvsu/action.
