30th Anniversary of Engineering Co-op 1986 - 2015
James R. Sebastian, founder of Rapistan and leader of the engineering education movement, was dedicated to cooperative education and ensuring that while students were learning in the classroom, they were also learning with someone in the profession.
From the beginning, the program has been a collaborative effort between engineers in industry and the faculty to create a robust engineering curriculum. The partnership continues today, with every student participating in one year of full time co-op experience and an industry-based senior capstone project.
