GVSU Research Aims to Increase Mobility for Children with Disabilities

Grand Valley State University students conducted a unique study to decipher if power mobility training results in changes to the range of EEG (electroencephalogram) activity of children who have multiple and severe disabilities. The study involves a 3-year-old girl, Gabby, from Hudsonville who uses a power wheelchair trainer built by engineering students. Engineering students also track and record Gabby's brain activity.
