Engineering Students Design "How Loud is Too Loud"

GVSU engineering students, Nicole Lorenz, Brian Westerhof, and Reuben Burton, collaborated with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) Agency to create a mannequin equipped with a device that measures the sound levels of personal stereo systems, referred to as ‘Jolene’. These students created their prop while enrolled in Product Design & Manufacturing professor Dr. Farris’ class, EGR 403 (Medical Device Design).
