1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
Ever since graduating I have been pursuing a career as Producer in the film industry. Months after graduation I was able to work with fellow alumna, Joel Potrykus, and I began working as a Producer with Ingalls Pictures. Along with my work at Ingalls Pictures I have produced two feature films, dozens of commercial videos, and even some music videos. I have been able to speak at and attend networking events and film festivals. Along with these accomplishments, I have more projects in the development stages for future years to come.

2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
One of my fondest memories at Grand Valley is working on my first short film as the Producer. I had no idea what I was doing yet I felt so empowered as a filmmaker. I ended up making friends that are still a part of my life and my film crews!

3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
The best piece of advice I have ever received is from a fellow producer, Laura Burnell. She explained that (technically) a lot of people can do the job of a Producer, but they cannot be you. So put yourself into the way you work and be the type of Producer that YOU want to be. This really helped me focus on my own professional growth and become my own version of a Producer.

4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand Valley experience.
Informative, social, and demanding.

5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
As I gain experience I aim to have more control over the films and projects I choose to take on. I want to focus on issues around the world and bring more representation to marginalized individuals. I believe through telling their stories, we can inform and educate individuals around the world. Even a small change can make an impact!
