1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
I worked as an oncology nurse before obtaining my DNP and have been a heme-onc nurse practitioner since 2015. Most recently I'm back at GVSU as tenure-track faculty in KCON.

2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
There are way too many to mention. I spent 8 years of life at GVSU after I completed graduate school. I have met some incredible people and have very fond memories of going through some major life transitions together.

3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
While it's important to be selfless and considerate of others, in making career choices it is imperative you think of your own long-term goals. I was once told that if something ever happened to me, my job would be re-posted before my obituary. That struck a cord. Don't ever be so uncomfortable with change that you remain in a toxic working environment.

4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand Valley experience.
Supportive, Relational, and Launchpad

5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I want to continue to make an impact on the oncology patient population and would love to introduce my specialty in a way that encourages nursing students to explore oncology nursing as a viable career option.
