What are the requirements for membership?

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is a national academic honor society. Membership is by invitation to those students who qualify academically (See Eligibility Requirements page).

Where can I find the membership application form?

Enrollment is online. In January, letters will be mailed to invited students, which will contain a link for enrollment.

I meet the criteria for membership but have not received an invitation. Who do I contact?

What are the benefits of membership?

Phi Kappa Phi awards more than $700,000 annually in awards and scholarships to its members. These programs include the Graduate Fellowship and Award of Excellence competition, Promotion of Excellence grants, Scholar and Artist awards, Literacy Grants, and Study Abroad Grants. In addition, the honor society provides networking opportunities, and career resources.

Are there any additional costs beyond the initiation fee?

The initiation fee of $77 includes your membership fee for the first year. After the first year, the annual membership fee is $42, to be paid to the national chapter.

Are there meetings and service requirements to maintain membership in the organization?

There are no meetings or service requirements necessary to maintain membership in the organization other than the annual membership fee. If you are interested in service opportunities, you may view available opportunities at https://www.phikappaphi.org/

When will I receive my certificate, honor cord and pin?

The Phi Kappa Phi certificate and pin will be mailed to the initiate's permanent address. The honor cord will be given at the induction ceremony.
