Qualifications

• Must be an enrolled student during Winter 2025, Fall 2025 & Winter 2026
• CPR / First Aid Certified (provided if hired).
• Experience with sports, especially adaptive, wheelchair or unified sports.
• Ability to work well with others, as an individual and as part of a team.
• Attend trainings required to preform the job duties

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all department policies and rules. 
• Attend all staff trainings, meetings & in-services
• Assist with the development and implementation of adaptive and wheelchair sport events
• Supervise adaptive and wheelchair sport events. Most events are in the evening time.
• Manage facilities for intramural sports events, and set up equipment 
• Provide customer service to all participants
• Act as the first responder for injuries and facility issues that may arise during events, within the level of training.  
• Complete necessary forms and documentation correctly and without errors 
• Provide feedback on program operations and processes.
• Maintain the professional standard for delivery of all programs
• Other duties as assigned.

Start Date: March 2025

Duration: This position will have fall and winter needs, and will include office work, and required evening shifts to supervise events. 

Hours: Part time, flexible hours up 10 hours per week. Hours vary weekly based on needs.

Hourly Rate: $12.48

Location: GVSU Allendale Campus
