Intramural Sports
Intramural sports offers impactful recreational sports activities through organized leagues and single events. Our offerings promote community, inclusion and well-being, and provide GVSU students the opportunity to participate in a sport they have always played, or to try a new sport. Intramural sports are for participants of all skill levels.
Registration and payment is done via IMLeagues. You can also download the GVSU Recreation app to get involved with your favorite sport. You will be asked to log in with your GVSU username and password to register for our events.

Single Day Events
Single Day Events are a great way to try out intramural sports, without the commitment of a full league. Registration is required prior to the event, and is completed on IMLeagues. Email [email protected] for more information.

Leagues
All registration is completed on IMLeagues. An IM Sports Pass is required to play. The deadline is the date to create a team and get the minimum number of participants on the roster. Games are typically after 6pm. Email [email protected] for more information.

IM Sports Pass Fees
Passes are required to play.
Before a team can be created, the captain must purchase an IM Sports Pass. A team will not be approved in a league until the minimum number of participants required for that sport have purchased a pass & have been accepted to the team roster. This must be done before the registration deadline. Once a team is approved, players may still add to the team throughout the season.
LEAGUE PASS - $20
- Play on one team for any sport.
- Ideal for casual IM sports participants who might only be able to commit to one team per semester.
- Can upgrade to semester pass.
- Fall & Winter semesters only.
SEMESTER PASS - $30
- Play every IM sport for one price!
- Ideal for participants who play on multiple teams & those who want to try new sports.
- Participants can play on as many teams as they want.
- Fall & Winter semesters only.
Creating or Joining a Team
- Log in to your IMLeagues account. This will be the same as your GVSU credentials.
- Click on the “Grand Valley State University” link on the top left to go to your school’s homepage on IMLeagues.
- The current sports will be displayed; click on the sport you wish to join.
- Choose a league (Coed, Men's, Open, etc).
- Choose a division (Monday 8:45 p.m., Tuesday 11:00 p.m., etc). If a league or division does not have a time, it will ask captains to enter time preferences for the team.
- Click to Create/Join the team and complete your team's registration. You will need to purchase a pass in order to complete registration.
